Who We Are

David Rogers – Co-founder, Head of Comms and Research

David Rogers, founder of Ekrixis CIC

David Rogers leads research and communications at Ekrixis, with a focus on AI-led research. He’s been deeply engaged in the field of artificial intelligence for over a decade, beginning with his Cardiff University dissertation, which examined AI ethics and existential risk through the work of Ray Kurzweil, Nick Bostrom, and John Searle.

He later attained his Journalism MA from Cardiff University. David’s journalistic work covered AI ethics, including the adoption of lethal autonomous weapons systems.

The other strand of David’s career is in the UK civil service, working for the Home Office, DEFRA and the Environment Agency, where he led strategic communications and supported digital change and AI integration projects.

At Ekrixis, David combines deep expertise in government communications with a sophisticated understanding of AI tools, systems thinking, and the evolving policy landscape. His work focuses on designing research to address complex global challenges and socio-technological shifts that supports radical, risk-taking solutions.
